Yooka-Laylee, the spiritual successor to the cult class Banjo-Kazooie, is only a little over a month away. Players will soon finally see if their faithful Kickstarter backing was all worth it. This title will hopefully bring us all back to the 3D platforming days of old. What good is making a game with a classic feel without some music to fit the mood. Yooka-Laylee is sure to share the perfect with everyone before the official release.

To get just the right sound, developers at Team17 and Playtonic Games veteran video game composers, Grant Kirkhope, David Wise, and Steve Burke, to create this playful soundtrack. Together, these three have worked on Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong Country, Battletoads, GoldenEye, and more. Laced Records has joined forces with the developers of Yooka-Laylee to release the soundtrack to the world.

As a small sample of the 28 original track crated for the new platformer, you check out the Soundcloud page give a listen to the sample 4. If you like what you hear, you can go to Laced Records and preorder the soundtrack yourself in either digital, physical CD, or double vinyl LP. They will all be released on April 7th. This is only a few days before Yooka-Laylee will be made available on April 11th, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Steam, and GOG.
