In a recent interview with Time Magazine, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata has denied these rumors saying that, “As of now, I have nothing new to share with you in regard to the use of our IPs for any TV shows or films, but I can at least confirm that the article in question is not based on correct information.”

Though he doesn’t deny the possibility of other Nintendo properties seeing a television or film adaptation in the future, as for now it would appear that Link will not be getting to join the ranks of shows such as House of Cards or Orange is the New Black.
