Nintendo’s latest plan to promote the release of Splatoon was announced to be Splatoon Mess Fest, occurring on May 15 in Santa Monica, California from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m on the Santa Monica Pier.

Teams of celebrities have been invited to participate in the event, which includes an ink-filled obstacle course as well as a various events inspired by modes that occur in the game. According to Nintendo, “Odds are things will get messy and colorful – fast.”

The only celebrity currently announced to appear is Disney’s Joey Bragg, from the show Liv and Maddie.

Anyone who is looking for a chance to the participate in the action will have the opportunity for entry to win in the near future, according to Nintendo.

Spectators are also welcome to attend the event and watch all the ink-spraying action, but those who won’t make it to the Santa Monica area will have the option of watching it on Nintendo’s various social media channels. Those who do show up for the event will receive Splatoon t-shirts while supplies last.
