Zelda Wii U has already been an emotional roller coaster, and it’s not even out yet.
In fact, after Nintendo announced the yet-to-be-titled Legend of Zelda game for the Wii U would be delayed out of 2015, the game is now listed with a date as ‘TBD’ or to-be-determined on an updated list of future Wii U releases.
When the game was shown off at the Video Game Awards in December of 2014, Nintendo also revealed plans for Zelda Wii U to arrive sometime in 2015. However, the team announced in March that the game would not make its originally planned release window after producer Eiji Aonuma and the team developing the game discovered “new possibilities” for the game that resulted in a 2015 release “no longer being a priority.”
The developer and team behind the game appear to not be committing to a release date or window, as many of the games listed below alongside Zelda Wii U are only tied down to a release across of a period of time, such as “fall 2015.”
However, not promising fans a particular time on the game may be in the best interest for the game that many hope is an immense, open-world experience for the franchise
Though Zelda is not coming this year, games we can definitely expect this year are there: Splatoon, Yoshi’s Woolly World, Starfox, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and Mario Maker.
What’s your take on the Zelda release being ‘TBD’?
