There have been rumors for years of a possible sequel to Mafia II. In 2012 there was rumors that 2k Czech was developing a sequel for next-gen consoles. Rumors were put to doubt when 2k Czech closed down its doors in 2014.

A couple months later, though, job listings revealed that Take-Two was hiring voice actors. Soon after, Vito Scalata, voice actor for Rick Pasqualone in Mafia II, tweeted that we “might have some exciting news very soon” regarding a sequel.

It will be five years since the release of Mafia II in August. Perhaps, they will anounce the sequel around that time. For more information regarding Mafia III make sure to stay tuned in at Gamespresso.
