The game will be centred around Jonathan E. Reid, a military surgeon, who after returning from the war becomes a vampire.  It will be set in an early 20th century Britain which is battling against the Spanish Flu as well as the vampires that roam the streets.

In the game, the player will explore London and except quests, and will also have to decide which characters to feed on.  Dontnod have commented on the gameplay saying that: “Absolutely all characters in the game are potential victims of your vampiric lust… Carefully study the habits of your next victim, his or her relationships with other characters, and set up your strategy to feed, unnoticed: seduce them, change their daily habits, or make sure they end up alone in a dark street.”

The game will feature a combat system which makes us of melee as well as ranged attacks and their will be supernatural vampiric abilities available to the player to help fighting against other vampires and vampire hunters.  Their will also be a deep crafting system for players to create their own weapons using materials taken from defeated enemies.  The game will be published by Focus Home Interactive in 2017.
