Destiny will receive big weapon balance update with The Taken King Expansion

Bungie has announced that with the release of The Taken King Expansion, there will be some changes with some of the weapons of Destiny. If you play Destiny online now you will notice two main weapons that dominate load outs, the Thorn and Gjallarhorn. The Thorn is an hand cannon and the Gjallarhorn is an exotic rocket launcher. Both weapons will be "nerfed" in the upcoming update, reducing the effectiveness of the Thorn and the damage of Gjallarhorn's cluster bombs. Many other weapons are also getting updates. For example, the auto rifles have been tweaked in previous updates and now appear to be receiving a slight weapons buff.
