Devil's Third Developer Responds to Wii U Publishing "Lies and Rumors"

Ninja Gaiden designer Tomonobu Itagaki was quick to respond to reports that the upcoming Wii U title Devil's Third will not be published in the United States. "Guys, which do you believe me or such site?" He wrote on his Facebook account. "The world brims over with lies and rumors. Thanks always, mates."Originally revealed in 2010, Devil's Third is no stranger to delays. Originally scheduled to be published by THQ for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC, its fate was left in the wings when the publisher went bankrupt. Itagaki regained the rights to the title and, in 2014, announced it would be a Wii U exclusive.

The title, which has a European release date of the end of August, still does not have a release date in the US. Nintendo of America has made no official announcement if they will pick up publishing rights; however, on July 11th they posted a tweet that would imply they will do just that.
