Lizard Squad has claimed responsibility for yet another attack on the world of gaming, as the successful DDoS of both Planetside 2 and H1Z1 last night were initiated by the group.

This recent attack comes in direct response to CEO of Daybreak Company John Smedley’s comments about one of Lizard Squad’s key members, Julius “Zeekill” Kivimaki.

In these comments, Smedley referred to Kivimaki as a “dirtbag” and threatened to take the 17-year old to civil court for his actions.

Kivimaki, who was behind the Christmas Day attacks against Playstation Network and Xbox Live, mocked Smedley on Twitter, lauding his successful sabotage of two of Daybreak’s most acclaimed IPs.

Smedley himself acknowledged the DDoS attacks quickly after they occurred and noted that they were substantial.

Daybreak confirmed this morning that issues still exist for players attempting to access the two titles, stating “We are still working to resolve connectivity issues affecting many of you. Thank you for all your patience and understanding.”

For his part, Smedley took to Reddit to express his frustration with Kivimaki’s behavior and his desire to see the teen behind bars.

“You shouldn’t be able to do crap like this without any hint of a consequence. I plan on doing everything in my power to see him get what’s coming to him in court one way or another.
