Nintendo leak confirms Shovel Knight to appear in Super Smash Bros., and even get his own Amiibo

Nintendo’s certainly given us quite the contest. Letting players pick which of their favorite-yet-absent Nintendo characters are in Super Smash Bros. is sorta like asking a group of children what ice cream they all want to get: everyone wants everything. However, a reliable source within Nintendo Life has given us hope for one of those characters: Shovel Knight.

Shovel Knight, who was very consistently a top 10 contender in most site’s private polls for Super Smash Bros. entrants, is now not only confirmed to being worked on for Super Smash Bros., but to even have his own Amiibo. This, combined with Yacht Club Game’s own site confirming “another MEGATON announcement soon,” seem to double confirm some important stuff to be happening to Shovel Knight.

While Yacht Club Games is also making some big announcements over their Plague of Shadows DLC, this mystery announcement is the last planet we need aligned for it to be almost unofficially confirmed for Shovel Knight’s appearance in Super Smash Bros.
