Volume, the latest title from Thomas Was Alone developer Mike Bithell, arrived on time on PlayStation 4  and PC this week, but its Vita version won’t be doing the same.

The title is a stealth-game, heavily inspired by the Metal Gear Solid franchise, of which its Vita version reportedly “needs a little more love.”

“Unfortunately, we unexpectedly had to make the decision to hold off on the Vita version for a couple of weeks to get it where we want it,” Bithell wrote on the game’s website. “It’s so very nearly ready, but it needs a little more love.  A few personal problems and issues have slowed down our submittal, so even though the game is “done” on Vita, we still have some QA process to go through (because that stuff matters).”

Though players might have to wait a little longer to play Volume on-the-go, the title will still hold its cross-buy functionality, meaning those who purchase it on the PS4 now will be able to download it at no additional charge as soon as its available on Vita.

Volume arrived on August 18 – have you been playing it? Let us know your thoughts on the game, and if you’ll play it on your Vita when the time comes, below.
