Release date for Minecraft: Story Mode announced

A release date for Telltale Game’s next game, Minecraft: Story Mode has been announced. The first part of the episodic adventure game will be available for download on October 13th, and the hard copy will be available for purchase on October 27th.Telltale Games, creators of the games for The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, announced that episode one of Minecraft: Story Mode is called “The Order of the Stone”. The episodic adventure will span across five episodes and each will be available through individual purchase or a season pass. The first episode will also be available on a physical disc, while the other four will be available through download once they are released.

No prices for the episodes or season pass have been announced at this time. The story will allow players to become Jesse, a character that can be played as male or female.

Telltale Games explained the adventure by saying, “You’ll embark on a perilous adventure across the Overworld, through the Nether, to the End, and beyond.” Telltale games have said that they are working closely with Mojang to ensure that Minecraft: Story Mode will feel like it is part of the Minecraft world.

Minecraft: Story Mode will be available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Mac, and PC. Check out the trailer below.
