Bungie, the original developer behind the FPS juggernaut Halo has reached out to Microsoft to congratulate the launch of Halo 5.

“Congratulations to 343i on the launch of Halo 5,” Bungie’s official Twitter account proclaimed. “We can’t wait to see where the Chief goes next. Cheers!”

The official Halo Twitter account tweeted back:”Thanks for the kind words! We hope you enjoy.”

Halo was Bungie’s baby, having developed every single Halo title up until 2010’s Halo: Reach. Microsoft owned Bungie from 2000 through 2007, when the companies split. Bungie would later team up with Activision to develop Destiny.

Many fans were skeptical about where the massive Halo series was going after Reach, but critical reception to Halo 4 and the more recent Halo 5: Guardians has been mostly positive.
