Capcom says to "stay tuned" for Resident Evil 7

Capcom has brought the video game community many scares since it introduced Resident Evil in 1996. Since then, the franchise has had five sequels and a large amount of spinoff games. Many of the more recent Resident Evil games have been more action and shooter focused than a true horror title. Resident Evil 7 might just change that trend. In a recent interview, reported by Siliconera, Resident Evil producer Masachika Kawata said that he was working on "bringing out the horror" in future titles. When asked about Resident Evil 7 he stated, "We’re currently not at a state to talk about it… but please stay tuned." There was also talk of more HD remakes of earlier Resident Evil franchises being approved. Unfortunately, when Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi was asked about the Devil May Cry series he claimed there was nothing new being planned as of now.
