Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem seems to have a lot of SMT in it

Two new trailers have been released for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem crossover. Both trailers are almost entirely in Japanese, so it's difficult to make out what's actually going on. But, according to various reports, the first trailer details the story which is about a young girl's aspiration to be an idol. The second trailer is more obvious in the reveal that Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening will have a somewhat starring role, though his SMT counterpart doesn't seem very cheerful.

Both trailers are almost entirely in Japanese, so it’s difficult to make out what’s actually going on. But, according to various reports, the first trailer details the story which is about a young girl’s aspiration to be an idol. The second trailer is more obvious in the reveal that Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening will have a somewhat starring role, though his SMT counterpart doesn’t seem very cheerful.

My take on the trailers is that the game is essentially Persona. Characters transform into warrior/demon(?) counterparts of themselves to fight enemies, much like the Persona series itself. In addition, the Fire Emblem connections seem a little sparse so far, outside of Chrom’s official appearance.

Regardless, both trailers are absolutely beautiful to witness, carrying some of the most colorful and exciting images on the Wii U.
