“You’re doing things that Superman couldn’t even do,” is a noted line from the season trailer, raising the bar for both the story and its viewers.

Critics from the Boston Herald, USA Today, and the New York times have notable reviews for this debut show, specifically about its stars, Melissa Benoist, Mehcad Brooks and David Harewood.

“Benoist is just so winning in this role…. As he did with CW’s “Arrow” and “Flash,” executive producer Greg Berlanti has managed to take a familiar superhero story and spin it into a TV show readers and newcomers can love. ” -Mark A. Perigard from Boston Herald.
