Chinese League of Legends team LGD gaming has announced that they have signed former SK Telecom player Jang “MaRin” Gyeonghwan.

Marin demonstrated himself to be an incredibly skilled top laner, playing an integral part in SK Telecom’s second ever World Championship Title. Several weeks ago he announced he would not sign again with the SK Telecom organisation saying he was looking for a “new challenge”.

After a disappointing showing at both the 2015 World Championship and the Intel Extreme Masters San Jose, LGD looked to strengthen their roster for the upcoming LPL Season. While the acquisition of Marin looks be to be a great move for the team, his poor performance at this year’s All-Star Tournament could spell trouble for LGD Gaming.
