New information has come from Mortal Kombat X creator Ed Boon regarding choice of characters for various DLC packs, and how many unfortunately don’t make the cut. In a recent conversation with IGN, Boon stated the studio had considered “a whole bunch of names,” such as Michael Meyers (Halloween) and the Terminator.

In a separate interview with Shacknews, Boon stated that it was also unlikely that Batman or Wonder Woman would ever be added to the MKX series.

“Mortal Kombat is a lot more of a brutal thing, picking up and going across the way to one side, but not the other side. I doubt we’ll see Batman or any of those characters in a Mortal Kombat game.” Boon stated.

The DLC thus far for MKX has been centered around the addition of new, playable characters, but Boon hasn’t ruled out the possibility of story based DLC in the future.

Mortal Kombat X’s Kombat Pack 2 will host Leatherface (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), Bo Rai Cho (Drunk fist master), Xenomorph (Alien) and Tri-Borg (a combination of Cybrax, Sektor and Robot Smoke). The DLC will be available in 2016.
