Nintendo’s next generation console codenamed: NX announced this past spring has been scaled back from 20 million units to 12 million.

For those who don’t know, the Nintendo NX is supposed to be Nintendo’s next console which they claim is a smartphone/ console hybrid. The company Foxconn Electronics, the assembler of the iPhone, has been rumored to be the chosen manufacturer for this new hybrid console, but the company declines to comment on its clients or its orders.

For the reason they have scaled back, they have had complications acquiring all the necessary parts. For the time being, Nintendo has decided not to say anything about this new hybrid console until 2016. The only thing we know for sure about the NX is that work was underway back in March. In a Wall Street Journal article, they claimed the NX had “industry leading” technology.
