Destiny has shown one of the most impressive lifespans for any console game in the modern era. Bungie has taken the title and produced more wonderful DLC that has kept it going strong. So, what’s in store for the future? According to some, there should be a lot more.

Since the announcement of Destiny 2 being delayed, the question of what is going to happen with the original remains. A research firm called Cowen & Company released a note to investors about the game, headed by member Doug Creutz.

“Our model assumes a Taken King-sized expansion for Destiny in 2016,” he stated. “We did think that Destiny 2 was a possible, and even likely, source of upside in 2016. However, as long as there is new Destiny content in 2016, we feel confident in our overall company growth assumptions and would remain bullish on the long-term value of the franchise.”

Creutz went on to say that if no such expansion were to come this year, this would raise concerns about the series. It is not as if Bungie is unaware of the game’s current state and the want of their fans for more. They recently had a blog post discussing everything moving forward.

What would you like to see from the franchise in the future? Let us know in the comments.
