Capcom producer toys with the idea of an Onimusha revival

Onimusha has been a quietly bubbling Capcom IP for a while. No word on any form of a new game in the franchise until recently. Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono has mentioned to English newspaper 'The Daily Star' that there have been discussions internally about Onimusha and other IPs the team would like to revisit:“I’ve spoken internally with people who made Onimusha with me originally and talked about maybe how interesting it would be to revisit that series,”While discussions are had, there is still no developmental progress and there are no actual groundwork in place for an Onimusha game just yet. Ono does however keep hope alive for fans of the various older IPs that lay dormant in the Capcom archives:

So there you have it, dead IPs aren’t quite dead, just sleeping for its inevitable eruption into the modern era.
