Earlier this week, promotional material for the next Call of Duty leaked online. The game, entitled Infinite Warfare, was advertised to include a copy of Modern Warfare Remastered. Infinite Warfare itself was discovered as a listing on the PlayStation Store. No other information for the title has been given. A remaster of Modern Warfare has been rumored for awhile, and has been requested by fans of the series.

The original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released in 2007. It was followed by Modern Warfare 2 in 2009, and Modern Warfare 3 in 2011. The latest game in the franchise, Black Ops 3, is available for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The latest DLC pack for the game, entitled Eclipse, has released on the PlayStation 4, and will be coming to the Xbox One and PC at a later date.
