Two weeks ago the ‘Jimmy Character Pack DLC’ was released for free which added Jimmy, the multi-talented character from Hardcore Henry. Last week, the game received ‘The Boiling Point’ and ‘Hardcore: The Murky Station’ heists. The collaboration was in the interests of both teams as CEO of Starbreeze, Bo Andersson Klint states:

“It’s been a long-time dream of mine to gain a great movie collaboration for Payday 2 and have the director of the movie intimately involved in creating a live-action piece for the game. I’m so psyched to have Ilya direct our Payday-crew and introduce Jimmy in such a bombastic way”

Meanwhile at STX Entertainment’s president, Oren Aviv had this to say about the collaboration:

“Hardcore Henry  and Payday 2 are the perfect marriage of entertainment properties, and we hope that gamers join us on this amazing thrill ride”

Payday 2 has been pushing the boundaries as of late with many of its controversies late last year. The fact that all of this content is free seems to speak volumes about Overkill Software’s desire to appease fans with even more content for the game.
