Continuing the free updates added to Halo 5’s multiplayer, new REQ items belonging collectively to the Hog Wild update will release in the game tomorrow, May 31.

Many of the update’s “bigger items” have been delayed and will be included in the upcoming Warzone Firefight update scheduled for the end of June. 343 explains this is to allow “a bit more time for finishing touches and polish.”

Until then however, the developer isn’t leaving players out to dry. The Hog Wild REQ items include new warthogs, new armor, and a new weapon scope. The four new warthogs, Vespin Rocket Warthog, Sword Needler Warthog, the Rally Scout Warthog, and the Rally Warthog, all have changed stats and unique looks.

Meanwhile, the Warzone Firefight update will be the largest update to date. Including a reworking of the classic PvE cooperative Firefight mode first seen in Halo 3 ODST, the update will also include new game features, new Warzone and Arena maps, an update to Forge, and new REQs.

343 promises plenty of Halo goodness to enjoy over the weeks to come, including the first gameplay from Halo Wars 2 at E3. As we learn more about Warzone Firefight and everything else coming to the Halo universe, you’ll find it right here on Gamespresso.
