Sony announced a new PlayStation VR title named Farpoint.

The game is an adventure/shooter title set in space and comes from developer Impulse Gear.

After crashing into a hostile alien world, you must work to survive and unearth the secrets of the aliens and their home.

Along with the game, Sony has revealed that a new PS VR Aim Controller will also be released that will offer a “realistic” and “precise” way to control games.

“With direct 1 to 1 tracking, you aim in Farpoint just as you would in real life,” said Seth Luisi, co-founder of Impulse Gear. “How you hold and where you point the controller are directly matched in the game. This allows you to do things in Farpoint that just are not possible in a standard FPS game. It also provides an unbelievable sense of presence in the virtual world.”

The team had no other information about Farpoint to share at this time, but more is coming. The game is Impulse Gear’s first title as a studio.
