Microsoft has announced its plans to release its slimmer version of the Xbox One on August 2. However, only the 2TB hard drive model will be available first.

Compared to the original, the Xbox One S is 40 percent smaller and includes a built-in power supply. Also, one of the three USB ports and the pairing button are now moved to the front of the console.

The Xbox One S will also support 4K Ultra HD resolutions with High Dynamic Range (HDR) for Blu-ray movies and streaming videos. Upcoming games like Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, and Scalebound will utilize HDR for a higher contrast ratio between light and dark colors.

The console comes bundled with a newly-designed controller featuring a textured grip and Bluetooth support. The controller can be purchased separately for $59.99 starting August 2.

Since the 2TB Xbox One S has limited availability due to high demand, Microsoft recommends pre-ordering on the company’s online store or at select retailers. The 2TB Xbox One S will be sold for $399.99.

Microsoft is also offering two other hard drive options for the One S, the 1TB version for $349 and the 500GB hard drive for $299. Further details on these options will be revealed at a later date.
