The first of September’s four Xbox Live Games with Gold has been revealed to be Earthlock: Festival of Magic.

Earthlock is a turn-based RPG developed by Snowcastle Games. Xbox Live Gold members will be able to download it for free beginning on September 1 on Xbox One. The game, which is also releasing on Steam, will launch at a price of $29.99.

“This westernized turn-based RPG, which in subtle ways reveals its Scandinavian origin, starts as a simple quest, but develops into an involved journey,” Major Nelson writes about the game. “Play as Amon and join several unlikely heroes to save Umbra, a beautiful but harsh world that mysteriously stopped spinning thousands of cycles ago. Mix up your strategy to beat your enemies by crafting ammo and materials, harvesting elemental plants, and customizing your characters’ talent tree.”

Earthlock will be a console exclusive on Xbox One for one month before making its way to PlayStation 4 and Wii U later this fall.

The rest of September’s Games with Gold will be revealed later this week – for now you can still grab titles from the month of August, including Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate and WWE 2K16 on Xbox One, as well as Spelunky and Beyond Good & Evil HD on Xbox 360.
