EXOR Studios has announced that their game, X-Morph: Defense, will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The developers behind the game have described it as a cross between twin-stick shooters and tower defense games and is designed to give gamers options based on their preferences.

Pawel Lekki, the Producer and Designer at EXOR Studios took to Xbox Wire saying, “We’ve put a lot of effort into making sure that X-Morph: Defense plays great both as a shooter and as a tower defense strategy game. If you prefer the shooter approach, you can upgrade your ship and unlock all the X-Morph fighter’s forms.”

For players looking to cause as much destruction as possible, there are a variety of weapon upgrades and alternate weapon attacks to choose from that are useful for any given situation, and for those who prefer a more defensive play style, the game’s tower defense aspect introduces new ideas to the genre. You can place sentry towers anywhere on the map, allowing you the ability to limit and control the areas where enemies spawn.

Almost every building and landscape is destructible in X-Morph: Defense, which can help players disrupt enemy movements and control space. The game also features a split screen option, meaning gamers can team up with a friend to face off against enemies with additional attack directions, allowing for a completely different experience from the single-player campaign.

X-Morph: Defense is set to release soon. As we learn more, you’ll find it all right here on Gamespresso.
