Rockstar gives GTA V heists a launch date

Heists are something the community for Grand Theft Auto V has been waiting for and finally Rockstar have announced a launch date: March 10th. They announced the date on Twitter earlier today and fans have responded almost entirely positively for finally having the date of the possibly the biggest and most welcomed update to the game; finally users will be able to play online with their friends and pull off some heists together, or at least attempt to.There has been some complaint of the update being so late as the game was originally released September 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 so it is understandable that some people are disappointed however this seems to be the minority of fans. Not much detail has been released in terms of what console generation this is for so there has been no confirmation yet if the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions will also receive online heists.

PC users are still waiting for GTAV which has now been set back to April 10th, whether or not it will have online heists from launch has yet to be announced; some are doubtful of having instant access to it however this will probably not be an issue for the online modding community who would gladly create some heist mods.

Along with this update to the game there have been several others announced by Rockstar; Adversary mode which is a PVP mode and more will unlock as players progress though the heist tree. A location defense mode called “Siege Mentality” which is another PVP mode where two teams battle it out, one team of 4 defending the point and a team of 6 trying to take it. Truckers and cyclists make up the final PVP mode, the aim is simple cyclists much reach the final checkpoint without being crushed by a truck driven by other players. Daily objectives are being added which can reward players with money should players decide to complete them, a great way to help fund the new freemode activities as well.
