Legacy of the Void closed beta underway

The closed beta phase for Starcraft II: Legacy of the Void is now underway.  Blizzard have said that beta invites are going out today.

This initial phase of the Closed Beta will include ongoing changes to previously-announced multiplayer units as well as the introduction of a new Protoss unit, the Adept.

Players with access to the Closed Beta will be able to check out PvP multiplayer action as well as Archon Mode, a cooperative/competitive multiplayer mode where two players share control of one base and army, combining forces to take on another opponent or team.

There is no NDA on the beta content, but Blizzard to ask that coverage is tagged with “Legacy of the Void Closed Beta” due to the game being unfinished.

In addition to ongoing updates to previously-announced MP units, Legacy of the Void will also include:

Players can begin their gaming after receiving their invites by clicking on the button in the email they should have recieved, logging into their battle.net accounts and following the download instructions in the Games and Codes > Download Clients section.
