The latest Minecraft update fixes "security issues"

Mojang has released a new update for Minecraft (PC Version) that fixes a variety of "reported security issues" as well as addressing a few known bugs.As Mojang said on their site, "this version is fully compatible with all previous 1.8 versions, but it is still highly recommend to update to 1.8.5 as soon as possible."

This is the second consecutive security update for the PC version of the game, as the previous one, released last month, dealt with an issue that allowed virtually anyone to easily crash a server hosting Minecraft.
