There have been concerns about the upcoming Hitman game regarding its digital release, the price and the quality of the game.  IO Interactive have now addressed these concerns in a Q&A.  The developer clarified that the game will be made available initially on digital platforms, but that a disc version will also be released “at some point in 2016”.  The game is set to be released on the 8th of December for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

There were also concerns about the games episodic structure that was revealed at E3.  IO Interactive wanted to clear up any confusion with this stating that “We think the word ‘episodic’ sets up the expectation that we will sell individual content drops for individual prices but that’s not something we’re planning to do,”.  While the game will not be sold in several episodes, IO explained that the story will be experienced episodically, and that there will be new content added to the game outside of the main story; ” That said, there are some episodic elements to the story in the sense that it’s delivered in chunks over time, so experiencing the story will probably feel episodic. But there is also a ton of other content including live events, which have nothing to do with the story. We’ll also be improving and changing the game constantly whilst you’re playing it.”  IO then went on to address the issue of price, assuring fans that there will be no microtransactions for this additional content.  Everything will be made available as part of the $60 price tag.

To finish, IO discussed concerns surrounding early access, and the quality of the content that will be released.  Fans are worried that the content released for the game will unfinished, similar to early access games.  IO responded to these concerns by saying “Early access can often mean something unfinished or unpolished, That’s simply not the approach we’re taking. All of the content we release live to our players will be complete and polished,. It will always be a polished Hitman experience.”
