343 Industries outlines update for Halo: Master Chief Collection

In the lead up to Halo 5: Guardians, 343 Industries outlined some changes coming to the Halo: Master Chief Collection within the next week. In a blog post on Halo Waypoint the developer discussed some of the changes coming to content and playlists.The content update will “address a variety of areas,” one of the foremost is the ranking. New quitting penalties will be added to further develop this part of the game. This part of the update is nearing completion and full patch notes will be coming soon.

The playlist update will be up at some point this week. Based on feedback from various social media outlets such as, Halo Waypoint, Twitter, and Reddit, 343 Industries are bringing changes to many playlists, including Team Action Sack, Team Hardcore, Team Doubles, Halo 2 Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 4, Infection, Team Snipers, and Halo 2 Classic.

Some of the changes include things in the map rotation, the addition and removal of certain game types, increasing the maximum party size, changing some weapon spawns, and more.
