Amplitude gets PS4 release date

Rhythm game Amplitude has an official release date om PS4. The game will go on sale on the Playstation store on January 5 for $20. Backers of the Amplitude Kickstarter at the $40 level will be able to download the game early on December 23.After mounting a successful Kickstarter campaign Harmonix, Amplitude's developer, had delayed the game twice from it's original March 2015 release date, first to summer 2015, then to winter 2015. The new release date was announced on the Playstation blog.

Amplitude is an update of the PS2 era cult classic game of the same name. The original Amplitude was one of the first games to use the “highway of notes” mechanic that is a staple of more popular rhythm games like Harmonix’s own Rock Band series.
