Heroes of the Storm kicks off its 2016 Spring Global Championship

With more than $4 million at stake across the year, Blizzard has started the first tournaments of its Heroes of the Storm Seasonal Championship Circuit. From now until the beginning of April, teams from all over the world will compete in the first of Blizzard’s planned seasonal championships, The Spring Global Championship, with two more to follow in Summer and then Fall.While the final Global Championship Event of the Spring Championship will be held in Seoul, South Korea April 1-3, with a prize pool of $500k, qualifying events have already started in some regions, others set to follow in February and even into March.

While the final Global Championship Event of the Spring Championship will be held in Seoul, South Korea April 1-3, with a prize pool of $500k, qualifying events have already started in some regions, others set to follow in February and even into March.

The prize pools span the range from Latin America’s tournament offering $18.5k to North America, China, and Europe offering $100k each and Korea offering a hefty $200k all on its own. You can find the full list of events below.
