Sony has revealed their expectations for PlayStation 4 system sales to reach a total of 20 million sold by the end of the current fiscal year.

Currently, the PS4 stands at roughly at 40 million consoles sold since its release in November 2013, bringing its expected numbers to sit at 60 million by the end of March 2017.

Sony also expects “hardware unit sales” and “software sales including sales through the network” to increase by a combined 8.3 percent by the same time period.

Sony likely contributes this increase to the launch of PlayStation VR this October, as well as the sales that will come from the yet-to-be-revealed PlayStation Neo upgrade to the PlayStation 4 system.

Are you going to be one of those 20 million systems sold between now and March? Will it be your first PS4 or are you planning to jump on the PSNeo bandwagon? Let us know your thoughts below!
