Injustice 2 trailer features some new and old faces plus lots of customization

Netherrealm Studios has dipped back into the Injustice universe with a sequel. The emphasis is on the gameplay and the customization options in the newest trailer. Furthermore, there are several new characters introduced including Super Girl, Atrocitus and Gorilla Grod while familiar heroes Aquaman, Superman and Batman also take the stage.According to the the video description, 'Injustice 2  allows you to personalize every iconic character with unique and powerful gear". Ed Boon has confirmed that as you play the game, you can receive 'crates' that will allow you to unlock new costumes for the characters. These will change aesthetics as well as fighting styles and abilities. As a fighting game, it raises some flags from the balance perspective. Having access to abilities that other combatants don't have will surely cause a fair deal of backlash. The only way I see this working out is if this mechanic is only available on single-player.
