The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may be shaking up the series’ conventions, but the game that comes after that may be even a little more different.

Legendary Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma recently suggested that the next Zelda title could be more focused on multiplayer.

In a recent interview with IGN, Aonuma mentioned that he would like to take what he learned during the development of Breath of the Wild and apply it to a multiplayer game along the lines of last year’s Nintendo 3Ds title, Triforce Heroes.

“I would like to take what I learned from Breath of the Wild and see if we can somehow fuse those learning points into another multiplayer Zelda,” he said. “For example, with Triforce Heroes, which followed a similar format of Four Swords, there was a multiplayer involved in that game.”

However, if the amount of time that occurs between games is any sign (including the inevitable delay), it may be a little while before you get to play one of the games with all your friends.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was shown off extensively at E3 last week, including the grandiose world that players will be able to explore in as well as numerous new systems. The game is set to release in 2017 for Nintendo Wii U and NX.
