It has been announced that Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will support cross-saves between the Xbox One and PC versions of the game.

In an article by Dengeki (translated by IGN), it was revealed that the Windows Store version of Resident Evil 7 will be able to share play data with the Xbox One version. This hints at the fact that the upcoming horror title may be a part of Microsoft’s Xbox Play Anywhere program, which sees players receiving both the PC and Xbox One versions for the price of a single game.

The Dengeki article also stated that Resident Evil 7 will support HDR on all formats, 4K on both the PlayStation 4 Pro and PC, and will feature compatibility with the PSVR.

Last month it was confirmed that Resident Evil 7 will retain the classic inventory of the older games. On the game’s YouTube channel, it was revealed that weapon crates will exist, and will be used to store the player’s resources. The player’s inventory consists of 12 blocks in a 3×4 rectangle (at least in the video), which will hold the gamer’s inventory. While most items will only take up one block, some items, such as the shotgun, will take up two. It was also revealed that resources will be limited, as the video’s description reads, “Save your ammo… You’ll need it.”

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will release on January 24th, 2017. The game will release on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
