Integrating the streaming service Beam into Xbox One and Windows 10, gamers will be able to connect their Xbox Live accounts to the service, allowing them to stream their gameplay and interact with viewers without the need of additional hardware.

When it comes to Windows 10, a Game Mode feature will be added to the operating system which will allow for better performance while gaming.  The Xbox One will also receive an update allowing it to handle common tasks such as recording and editing gameplay footage and navigating menus. These changes are intended to enhance the capabilities of these platforms even more.

Clubs and Looking for Group will also see improvements, such as additional Moderator tools and the ability to share posts for these groups to active news feeds, allowing for players to connect with their friends more easily. This new update will also see the introduction of Tournaments to Xbox Live. Organizers such as the ESL and FACEIT are set to host events through this new platform, allowing gamers to get a taste of the competitive nature that eSports has come to be known for from the comfort of their own home.

World of Tanks and Killer Instinct will be the first games to feature in the new system. Players will be able to set up tournaments and invite members of their clubs or friends list to join. Tournament results will then be recorded automatically and shared across both Xbox Live and social media.

Microsoft’s Creators Update is set to arrive in early 2017. As we learn more, you’ll find it here on Gamespresso.
