At CES 2017, Bioware revealed a new gameplay trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda. The trailer shows off various gameplay mechanics and finishes by proudly announcing that the game will be released on March 21st, 2017.

The trailer is visually impressive and rendered with the in-game engine. It also shows off two key gameplay features: combat and class mechanics.

Unlike previous Mass Effect games, combat in Mass Effect: Andromeda is fast-paced. The player character uses several new talents and abilities in the trailer, including a new flamethrower talent, what appears to be a jet pack, and a sliding dodge.

The trailer also implies that players can freely switch between classes in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Each class gives players different stat boosts. Additionally, talents are apparently no longer tied to classes and players can mix and match talents as they please. While only two Tech talents, Overload and Flamethrower, are used in the trailer, a total of twelve Tech talents are displayed on the character screen. Each talent can also be upgraded using the same branching upgrade trees introduced in Mass Effect 2.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is slated to release March 21, 2017.  For more Mass Effect news, stay tuned to Gamespresso.
