Clearly, everyone loves a good demo.

As a result of a survey earlier this month, Square Enix has revealed that 80% of those who purchased Final Fantasy: Type-0 when it was released a few weeks ago as a remastered port, did so in order for a chance to play the included demo for the future Final Fantasy XV game to be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The demo seemed to be a large part of the appeal for those who purchased the HD remaster of the PlayStation Portable game, as the demo codes that were included for those who purchased the game were being sold alone on eBay for as high as $30.

The demo, which was also revealed to be set to receive an update soon, was able to rated by those who participated in a survey posted by Square Enix earlier this month on various aspects of the game, including world design, gameplay, voice acting, and character design and more. The game’s producers said the feedback will be used to improve the final game.

The results, based on those who took the survey in North America, showed the demo overall received a score of 8.6 out of 10, with 82% of those who responded saying they would buy the finished product based on the demo. Players regarded the controls as the area needing the most work in the game with a rating of 7.4 out of 10. World design and graphic quality both received 9 out of 10.

No release has been announced for the game yet, and it was revealed this morning that we shouldn’t expect one at E3, saying that a plan to reboot the promotion for the game will commence when Gamescom rolls around later this year.
