Microsoft and developer PlatinumGames have been very quiet regarding their upcoming Xbox One exclusive Scalebound, but Microsoft Studios’ Ken Lobb was nice enough to shed some light on the mysterious upcoming game for its fans.
“When people really understand what we’re building, they’re gonna be shocked,” Lobb said during an interview on The Inner Circle Podcast. And according to Lobb, Scalebound will be a major AAA title that has the potential to be “Game of All-Time.”
While he was unable to speak about what type of game Scalebound will be, he did offer us a few hints. “What does Platinum do well? That’s what they’re building. And what do we (Microsoft Studios) do well? That’s what we’re adding. And yes, these are dragon companions.” When asked if the game is going to be similar to Capcom’s Monster Hunter series, Lobb dismissed the suggestion and said those games are “weird and grindy.”
Lobb added that we’ll finally get to check out the game later this year, which I’ll presume that means it will either be at this year’s E3 convention or Gamescom. Let us know in the comments below if you’re interested in the upcoming Xbox One exclusive.
