Though Shovel Knight comes out on PlayStation platforms today, it was revealed that the game will be making its way to Microsoft’s Xbox One sometime next week.
Both head of Xbox Phil Spencer and director of programming Major Nelson tweeted about the game yesterday. Spencer announced the game passed certification, and Major Nelson said the game will be arriving “next week,” after originally stating it would be coming “this week.”
Shovel Knight was originally released last year for the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. Announced at PlayStation Experience to be headed to Sony consoles, it was simultaneously revealed that Kratos, the main character from God of War, would appear in the PlayStation version of the game. The Xbox version of the game, announced at this year’s Game Developers Conference, will feature an appearance from the Battletoads.
