The Borderland series is known for its wacky characters and crazy antics. It takes good voice talent to make these characters work. Joining the ranks of amongs these talented actors and actresses is Ashley Johnson.
The announcement was made with a tweet from Laura Perusco, who works for Telltale Games, and later confirmed by Johnson herself on Twitter. In Johnson’s tweet, she stated that she would be in Tales From the Borderlands’ Episode 3 and that “Things get a litttttle crazy.”
For those who don’t know Ashley Johnson by name, you may recognize her as the voice of Ellie from the Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed The Last of Us for PS4. She also provided the voice of Jenny in Infamous: First Light and appeared on th big screen in films such as What Women Want, The Help, and even The Avengers. Most would agree that her character in The Last of Us brought a beautiful and dramatic feel that is rare for most video games. It will be interesting to see what she is bringing to the Borderland series.
