Though not a name many may know, Frank Gibeau was, most recently, the Executive Vice President of EA Mobile, and yesterday, left EA after nearly 23 years with the company.

In a statement, Gibeau said, “It’s been a really great ride, the best job ever, jam-packed with incredible life experiences and filled with many great friends… After an incredible 20-year career, I’ve accomplished all that I could have imagined and more. I’m very proud of all the great games that I had a chance to work on. I thank EA for the opportunity and wish them the very best. I am excited to explore my next challenge.”

Speaking to the change, the man taking on Gibeau’s duties for the time being, EA CEO Andrew Wilson, applauded Gibeau saying, he “made many significant contributions to the company, our people and our games.  Most recently, he’s worked to strengthen EA Mobile by building a great team. We thank Frank for his achievements at EA, and we wish him all the best in his next chapter.”

This is not the only recent executive departure, Don Mattrick leaving Zynga just a few weeks ago, and Phil Harrison leaving Microsoft back in April. We here at Gamespresso wish Gibeau the best in whatever he may pursue moving forward.
