Mimicking the fast-paced style of the Stanley Cup playoffs, EA has unveiled a new tweaked physics system that will allow players to receive passes while turning or accelerating. Before, players had to glide along the ice to receive a pass, but the new system allows players to receive a pass on the fly or while changing direction.

EA also unveiled a treasure chest full of features, for those who were disappointed with the lackluster amount in NHL 15. Be a Pro mode will offer more customization and feedback from coaches and GM’s, while Be a GM mode introduces player moral, a factor that could come into play as you chase down the elusive Stanley Cup.

NHL 16 will be released for PS4 and Xbox One in September.
