To entice some early buyers that might not have had the chance to grab Fallout 3 in 2008, Bethesda has something for them in their pre-orders bin. Those who pre-order Fallout 4 on the Xbox Store will receive a code to download Fallout 3 for the Xbox 360. While some might be looking for the deal elsewhere, for the moment, it seems as though it is strictly for the Xbox Store page.

Since the Xbox One will also be receiving its update for backwards compatibility with the Xbox 360, this means that those who receive the Fallout 3 code will be able to play it only a month later on their Xbox One, if they don’t own an Xbox 360 to play it on.

The blog post that Bethesda recently announced this deal on does mention that this is a “limited time offer,” although how long it will run for is still uncertain. We do know that folks that receive the Fallout 3 code will only have 90 days to redeem their game. Excited to go back to the wastelands of Washington D.C.? Or upset because you already pre-ordered the PlayStation 4 version? Sound off in the comments!
