Gauntlet comes to the PS4, and updates the PC version.
Gauntlet: Slayer Edition builds upon the original version of the game. Graphics have been improved, and game mechanics have been tweaked.
Gauntlet (2014) was released on Steam almost a year ago. This game is a reboot to the series, and most people view this game positively. The Slayer Edition will be updated to the PC version. The updated version is available for PS4 today.
This hack and slash game is played with a top down view of your character(s). Gauntlet: Slayer’s Edition has 4 player local and online co-op. The title is an arcade style game, so the gameplay is easy to grasp. Four heroes (Warrior, Valkyrie, Elf, and Wizard) are available upon purchasing the game.
There are many new features with the updated game. Most enemies have been modified with either small or big changes. These changes will make enemies more diverse, and force players to alter their playstyle.
The heroes have been updated as well. Depending on which weapon is equipped, heroes can gain new and different abilities. Playable characters have new and unique potions that will give them an edge over their foes. Relics run on a cool-down system, rather than potions.
Horde mode has been added into the game. The mode is called ‘Endless’, and will allow players to test their might at the limitless amount of enemies.
