Theeban “1437” Siva, who previously coached Team Secret, revealed on Facebook that he will be leading Cloud 9’s new team. Cloud 9 have picked up Dark Horse. Dark Horse have participated in the ESL One New York open qualifiers and have advanced to the main qualifiers.
This acquisition sees Cloud 9 representing North American Dota. 1437 and Cloud 9 want to revitalize the NA scene, with 1437 stating “The institution of the majors is hoped to introduce a mechanism and incentive for stability, but to many it will seem like every NA team formed by that September 5th deadline is a resurrection of rosters that have been tried before[…] I am looking to change this approach to NA Dota by bringing in a few fresh faces to reinvigorate the scene.”
Cloud 9’s new lineup will be: Ravi ‘Ritsu’ Kodippili -carry, Braxon ‘Brax’ Paulson – mid , Arif ‘MSS ‘ Anwar -offlane, ‘SVG’ – support 4, Theeban ‘1437’ Siva – support 5 (captain) and Chase ‘Loomdun’ Stearns – coach and substitute.
